JOIN FOR TREKKING CAMP SPECIALLY ORGANISED FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN OF CLASS 6th & 7th.

Accomodation will be in tents, participants to bring their own sleeping bags. Camp duration will be 5 nights and 6 days ex Delhi. Transport from Delhi to Manali and vice versa will be in A/C Volvo.

Valley of flowers !!!!!!

It was in 1931 that Frank Smythe and Holdsworth stumbled on the valley while returning from their succesful Kamet expedition. They were “at once transported from a region of solemn austerity to a fairy land of dainty flowers most of them dwarf, but brilliant in colours, this park spread over an area of 87.5 sq.kms has the largest collection of wild flower spieces.

As though created by nature itself, the beauty of the park is enhanced by the Pushpawati River flowing in the vicinity overlooked by towering Rataban Peak in the back ground. More than 300 species of wild flowers bloom and swing with life during the monsoons. Also inhabitants the place is an amazing variety of Himalayan Butterflies. Hidden from the probing eyes of civilization, this valley had been known to the inhabitants as the Bhyundar Valley, the playground of fairies and nymphs. Legends also associate this valley with the area from where Hanumanji of Ramayana collected “Sanjivani Booti” herbs to revive Lakshmana, the younger brother of Lord Rama. They valley can only be visited during the day and overnight stay is prohibited.

The land of Lamas...

A vast highland desert at an altitude of 11500 feet, LEH is the centre of Buddhist culture. The participants would be visiting Thiksey Gompa, Hemis Gompa, Stok Palace, Shanti Stupa and Magnetic Point.

The highest motorable road in the world, KHARDUNGLA is another destination. PANGONG TSO a brackish water lake at an altitude of 14256 feet must be the highest such lake in the world. Interestingly, one third of this lake belongs to India and the remaining water belongs to China. Here is a picture of it we took on our trip there, this picture is original without any colour editing or mixing. This is actually how beautiful it looks :

Jayalgarh is approximately 90 kms from Rishikesh near Devprayag, away from any tourist destinations or place of pilgrimage. Pitched up on the bank of the gushing River Alaknanda, this campsite would be a wonderful retreat for the entire family, a group of friends or just for you. The camp provides comfortable accommodation in Swiss tents.

Dalhousie is a quite little hill station surrounded by five Himalayan hills that dominate tall and handsome deodar and oak trees. The forest trails nearby overlook vistas of wooded hills, water falls, springs and rivulets. The magnificent view of Chamba Valley and the inspiring snow clad peaks of Dhauladhar range fill the entire horizon here. The campsite is on the hillside near Ajitsingh Memorial, roughly three kilometers from the town. Rapelling, Trekking and many more activities can be arranged.

Have created this blog to promote trekking, safari, adventure and expeditions into various beautiful places in India viz.. Manali, Dalhousie, Sikkim, Darjeeling, Leh, Ladakh, Panchmarhi, Jim Corbett, Nainital, Jayalgarh, Abu etc...
